Basketball Betting – Bettors Looking for Angle NBA Finals

The NBA Finals are off to a lopsided start and bettors are not sure which direction to go in after the Warriors 19 point win on Sunday. The oddsmakers and the offshore bookies had the Warriors at -12 in game one and in regulation the game was nowhere near the mark. The Warriors needed overtime to come up with a 10 point win while holding LeBron James to just 2 points in the extra period.  So in other words, who knows what to expect?

1 Star Picks – Warriors Take Commanding Lead,  Where Do the Cav’s Go from Here?

The rule of thought for game three would be that Cleveland comes out fired up and ready to redeem their Oracle woes, and it’s not that farfetched. The Cavaliers have shut the door on opponents at home this year. They are tough to beat at home, LeBron brings a 100% different mindset and even the Warriors could struggle. However, the Warriors are not the Boston Celtics or the Toronto Raptors. The Warriors are who we think they are; they are this good. They find ways to win when their back is on the wall. Game three is not a “back on the wall” kind of game, it is an opportunity for the Cavaliers to avenge their road unworthiness in front of the home fans and prove they can hang in this series.

Experience matters and both teams are loaded with it so in this case it seems that the Warriors would have learned from the past. Why would they come out slow, off balanced and lackluster? Steve Kerr will have this team ready. They will be ready to take on LeBron form the onset. It would be surprising to see them run away early but not surprising to see them hang around within a point or two of the lead. They will be prepared for battle this time. They got away with one in the opening game at Oracle and they can’t let it happen again. The spread in this game opened at -4.5 with a total of 217.5, it has since moved to -5 with the Warriors being the favorite.

Game three and four are hard to get a good read on and predicting the outcome is a challenge. Even the best handicappers aren’t sure which direction to go in. On one hand the spread looks like a great bet on the Warriors after a 19 point win in game two. On the other hand, the Cavs look good getting +5 at home. Nobody can say with confidence in this one. Even the total is difficult simply because game one was not close to going over but did go over in overtime.

The smart bet here seems to be some of the prop odds that are floating around this game. Check it out:
